I learned a lot about the Russian systems
I learned a lot from the theory portion, specifically a lot about Russian systems, the importance of recovery and the importance of discomfort as a training tool. Klokov spoke a lot about programming, muscsle weakness and the differences between amateurs and professional athletes. It was extremely interesting to see the inner perspective of a very accomplished athlete in our sport.
The practical portion kicked my ass. I really enjoyed being brought through so much positioning work and learning about my weaknesses and seeing some of the theory in action. Klokov was personable and funny and it was a hard, fun, exciting experience.

Klokov Olympic Weightlifting Achievements
- Klokov became world champion at the 2005 World Championships, with a total of 419 kg.
- Klokov won the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics, with a total of 423 kg.
- He won the silver medal at the 2011 World Weightlifting Championships, with a 196 kg snatch, 232 kg clean and jerk for a total of 428 kg at a body weight of 104.6 kg.
- At the 2006 World Championships he ranked 3rd.
- At the 2007 World Championships he ranked 3rd.

The exercises we did exposed weak points and how we can improve them.
Being new to weightlifting, it was really fantastic learning about the different main lifting schools and their theories - and really diving deep into the Russian training philosophies. My eyes were really opened as I was brought back to my pro-athlete days and the whole mind, body, nutrition and rest connection it takes to be good.
This was a complete ass kicking in the best way possible. We learned so much about the importance of accessory work. The exercises we did exposed weak points and how we can improve them.

No "Fluff" or BS!
Was surprised to learn about Russian system and enjoyed his personal take on movements. I think the focus on positions was great and there was no "Fluff" or BS about it.
Found this different than expected and in a good way. Positions were difficult and it was enlightening in terms of what needs work. Amazing how light weight can teach us.

Klokov gets you in the right position and pushes you to your limit

This seminar really opened my eyes
Klokov brought a different perspective to the theoretical portion. I've done USAW and Crossfit weightlifing seminars and I still learned some new things.
This seminar really opened my eyes to the power of holding static positions with light weight - I don't think my quads have ever burned so much with 15kg.

Really helped me understand movement
Very informative coming from a power lifting/body building background. It was great to learn all the basics from someone who knows what they are doing.

This 12 hours seminars includes two segments.
- The first segment is the Theory Class and takes place in the morning.
- There is a one hour break for lunch after the Theory Class.

Personalized Technique Clinic
Most personalized and powerful camp I have been to
The content of Klokov's lecture gives insight into world class athletes training, recovery and mindset. It will help you to understand what movements you can do to improve your lifting and how to integrate these into your daily practice. It was full of valuable information, and with his personality it is fun and entertaining as well.
Kolkov spent time individually with every athlete to ensure they are feeling the correct positions. Watching him correct other athletes lifts is also helpful in the learning process. I have attended several lifting camps before this one and this was the most personalized and powerful camp I have been to. He will put you in uncomfortable situations to help you improve. Although it can be challenging as he is not afraid to correct and instruct you to perform, he is funny and tough at the same time. If you want to get better then this camp is one you should not miss.
